Job Description:
Fors Marsh Group LLC (FMG) is seeking an experienced, intelligent, and motivated user experience researcher to support and expand FMG’s UX capabilities across private and public clients. This individual will work in a senior research role, providing subject matter expertise, overseeing the work of small research team(s), and assisting in business development efforts.
Responsibilities include: Leading the design, execution, and interpretation of UX research Preparing written proposals, research reports, and other external communications Directly interfacing with clients to understand their needs, manage their expectations, respond to requests, and communicate in a clear and concise manner Building relationships with business partners, subcontractors, and universities to support current and future work Responsible for technical and task management of projects, including providing quality control, supervising project staff, and preparing and administering budgets Contributing to the broader UX research field through professional presentations and publications
Job Requirements:
MA (PhD preferred) in Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, or related field At least five years of applied professional experience, with a minimum of three years (post-degree) leading UX research projects Direct experience with one or more of the following: Information Architecture, Interactive Design, Information Design, and Digital Design Demonstration of strong verbal and written communications skills Active member/contributor to relevant professional association(s) Applicants may be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information Direct experience with at least one statistical analysis software package (SPSS and STATA are preferred) and Microsoft Office computer software applications
