Position Overview

PatientSafe Solutions is looking for a highly motivated and passionate UI/UX designer to innovate and perfect the interfaces of our applications. The User Experience Specialist will be tasked with designing delightful product experiences to be deployed in a highly collaborative and complex clinical environment. The successful candidate will become part of the PatientSafe team and share in the excitement of developing the PatientTouch system: an innovative point-of-care mobile solution that significantly improves the delivery of care in hospitals.

Opportunity and Responsibilities:

The User Experience Specialist is a vital contributor to the organization and will have the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams to innovate products that save patient lives and delight caregivers. This role will require you to:

  • Be the voice of our customers and relentlessly strive to understand user needs
  • Provide key insights documentation, affinity diagrams, research plans, user personas, and visual design concepts across our platform of applications
  • Design, lead, and review focus groups, A/B testing, and usability testing
  • Leverage user-centered design methodologies
  • Understand business requirements and prioritize user tasks and goals

Job Requirements:

Key Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in user-centered design—hands on from initial wireframe and prototyping to delivering final assets
  • 3+ years of cross-platform mobile, desktop, and tablet application design with strong experience in iOS, Android, and Windows 8
  • Power user of both Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in distilling highly complex workflows and data presentation into intuitive solutions on mobile platform
  • Experience in healthcare products and clinical workflows a plus
  • Experience in working with engineering teams to ensure workflow and features reflect user needs
  • Rapid delivery of both lo-fidelity and hi-fidelity mock ups and interactive prototypes with attention to pixel-level detail
  • Academic background in graphic design, interaction design, human-computer interaction, or related field (BA)
  • Must provide online portfolio showcasing relevant experience and past work products
